Sedesign- how would you use this for compositing? I created an effect in fcp with the levels filter the blur and a few keyframes to a clip. Instead of having to sit there and recreate this damn effect to another clip later on in my timeline sequence is there a way to save the effect and apply it to a clip down the line?

I heard your not supposed to use your regular internal drive to capture and render, so wouldnt you use your drives just for media?

Thanks everyone, im going to have to give this nesting a try. All i do is in my timeline is make a new sequence edit it, then drag it into my browser and then from the browser into my original sequence and it will show up as 1 edited clip correct?

What kind of tape are you using for your master? Your 6 lines could be the difference between ur sequence settings and whatever your tape is, be it betacam or dvcam

What do you mean a seperate matte? Once you key the green and lets say you have ur red tracker markers , do you duplicate the layer and track the bottom one with the markers on it and the top one showing has the markers painted out?
