No, I haven’t compared them, but I do have Autodesk Cleaner and Episode is much faster for doing most other conversions.

Another option is ‘Episode’. I’ve been using that and it works great. It also does just about any other format you could need. And it’s smoking fast!

Another thing to consider is to have your monitors ISF calibrated. ISF is a national organization of certified calibrators. Popular in the high-end home theater community. Here’s a link to find one. They have the gear to calibrate all types of monitors and projectors. Well worth the $300.

Most of the Panasonic high-end cameras do not comes with a lens. And, also do not come with a view-finder or microphone. You have to buy them separately.
There is no standard lens, everyone has their own preferences. I dig my superwide 13×4.5 Fuji. Awesome but expensive lens.

January 23, 2009 at 5:30 am in reply to: Apple 23 Cinema Monitor for Color CorrectionCheck out TV Logic monitors. They are the only LCD’s that are worthy of the task of Color Correction. Incredibly accurate, as good as a CRT.

I had crackling in my Kona 3 card too. Called Kona and got a new card overnighted free. Had a bad card. The replacement card fixed the problem.

You can use the ‘Restore Project’ function, which will take you back in time. It’ll be trial and error to find the date before you mixed down.
But… I would save a copy of the current version first before restoring.
Hope that helps.Ernie Santella

Not sure about AVID, but it works perfectly to my FCP.

I also get the B&W issue when I try to digitize from a DVD player through the S-Video in. Try switching to Composite and then back to S-Vid, that usually clears it up for me. Not sure why.

Christina,
Do worries, I didn’t take it that way. I just thought I would throw out there the info on the HDX900 camera that I have. It’s weird the when you set it 1080 it’s interlaced, but all 720 settings are progressive. There must be some other cameras that do the same.
