this might be too complicated of a question for a post but I will do my best. we made a stupid little movie that we want to put in the little rock film festival for the heck of it. the music we used is copyrighted so i was just going to put something else in for the festival, but all our audio tracks (actor’s voice, music, etc) are all combined into a master sequence on the timeline… is there a way to split that back out? i can’t find the FCP file of the version we had before we made it all one sequence… i hope this makes sense… one more stab at explaining it.
we had all our video cuts and audio cuts, then we just made it a new sequence where all the video cuts are all on V1 on the timeline and all the audio cuts are in one sequence on A1 and A2 on the timeline… if i could get back and delete the music without effecting the rest of the audio that would be fantastic!!!
    thanks for any help

You can use the ‘Restore Project’ function, which will take you back in time. It’ll be trial and error to find the date before you mixed down.

But… I would save a copy of the current version first before restoring.
    Hope that helps.

do you mean you NESTED the sequences??

if so, then all you have to do is to double click on the nests in the current timeline, and they should open up as the original sequences.

if you mean you EXPORTED the timeline and baked everything into a file, then there’s not much you can do.
(other that just go with what you have and hope Bono or whoever doesn’t turn up in LittleRock)
