It wasn’t a Panny HDX900 then, as anything 1080 out of it is interlaced. Thought I could help.

If it was shot with a Panny DVCProHD HDX900. The camera is switchable for 720/1080. But, when its set to 1080/60 it’s only interlaced. There is no 1080/60p on that camera. Progressive is only for the 720 settings.
That might be your issue.

Digieffects makes a plug-in in it’s Delirium that does a nice snow winter effect. Not exactly ice, but it might work for you.

December 17, 2008 at 2:05 pm in reply to: automatic way to add logo and bumpers to 50+ sequences? What about just old “Copy & Paste’? You could set it up pretty easy. Put the video on a separate track with a dissolve in (If needed) and put the audio tag on separate tracks. One Paste, and your done.
I wouldn’t trust doing it automated. I would want to double-check my work before laying off.

You must have nicer clients that I have. Most of mine are rude, overbearing, know-it-all’s who all want to be Directors and back-set editors. None worse than Creative Directors – Sheeesch!

I have clients who are idiots too. Maybe a roundabout way is to suggest using the black space for graphics. Marketing folks love graphics. So, if you are letter-boxing the footage in a 4:3 screen, you open up a new world to putting titles under/over. Information that can be used creatively.

“Fix It”? There is nothing to fix. The 900 will only output a signal, it will not record one.

Yes, it would. Wasn’t sure what it was set at. But you can adjust the line level quite a bit. Does your wireless have a line/mic switch? Most do.
Lastly, you can also control the mic input level with the control on the side of the camera. That should help.

Robin,
In the Main Menu – VTR Menu – Mic Audio 2, you can set levels for Mic and Line inputs. You can change the Pad amounts. Not a big range, but some adjustment.
Hope that helps.

I’ve bought my last 4 Macs through the Apple on-line store. The best deals can be found in the Refurb section. No problems with any of them.
