You can search for “after effects cube transition” and find some info on that. Here’s one tutorial that may help:
If you want to have just a wall in a live action shot transition then you may need to track the shot if it’s not locked down, and if the guy walks in front of the wall you may need to rotoscope him to separate him from the wall. There are bazillions of tutorials and other info out there about how to do those things, just search the interwebs.

I’m not really sure what you’re trying to achieve, could you provide more details?

One option would be to pre-compose the write-on animation at a large enough size that it would still look clear when zoomed in Then make that pre-composed layer 3D and and animate it to simulate a camera move.

Are you viewing the animation in QuickTime? Because it will look really weird and quick time if it has an alpha channel. You have to import it back into an editing program or in after effects to see what it actually looks like.

The render options that you have available will be dependent on the platform of your computer because each one has different codecs available like AVI for Windows or prores for macs. But QuickTime should be available in either platform. I’m not in front of the computer right now so I’m going by memory but I believe if you go to edit>templates>output module and then select “new” you should be able to create a new preset In QuickTime format or whatever format you choose.

I think you’re on the right track with putting a blurred copy of the video on top and just use a feathered mask to isolate the noisy part. It doesn’t look like the noise intersects her hair so it should be fairly easy to mask it.

It sounds like the codec isn’t playing well with AE. Try converting to a different, less compressed format before importing into AE. Depending on the format you choose, the file size may be huge but at least it should work in AE. Quicktime animation or a PNG sequence are safe bets. You can probably just export from Quicktime or use adobe media encoder or another coversion app.

It’s hard to say what steps you might be missing since you haven’t listed any of the steps you’ve taken so far. Are you using any compositing techniques, effects,etc.? How about posting another image of what it looks like now and explaining what you think is lacking or what you want to add?
