  • No answers on this? I am having the same problem. I do all the work and can see everything. Then all of a sudden layers are not visible anymore!?! Not all layers, just some or most, rendering glitch, preview glitch?

Sweet Jesus, after over 4 hours of doing the same thing over and over, it finally is working again. No rhyme or reason, no rhythm either. Importing AI files just started working correctly. A Christmas Miracle for sure.

Yep, AI project is in RGB. It’s just weird. I’ll try another restart. I swear Macs are getting flakier every year.

Restarts do nothing. I physically have released to layers and saved different formats, CS2, Cs3, Cs4, Cs5, EPS, PDF, nothing works. AE brings in my AI file as a previous version of my working file ie”_001″ even though I select “_002” or “_003”.

    Hmmm…this is after fresh restarts.

PSD render problem here too. While the timeline is parked on a non rendered PSD sequence it looks fine. After I render the sequence it becomes semi-transparent. I am trashing prefs….NOW!

Doesn’t seem to work. The gradient wipe seems to be broken here and on other machines. It seems to be pot-luck when it works.

    OMG! No way!
Thanks for the response but that is NOT gonna work. Back to FCP for projects that need spotting for graphics. Is this an extreme oversight on Adobe’s part?

Lhi is very loud here as well. I switched it back for the Lhe and is MUCH better. No fan on the Lhe, big heatsink.

Have you tried closing the project and restarting your machine? This is what I do when FCP gets wonky. I have experienced the flash frames like you and this usually solves it.

October 15, 2010 at 6:19 pm in reply to: Default folder for graphics

    Back to the original question.

Is there a place where the default gradient is stored in Premiere Pro CS5? If so where is it? Can I replace it with my own? Can I make a default folder with my own gradients to choose from?

I brought my project to another computer.
Why didn’t premiere prompt me for the missing gradient as used in the gradient wipe transition?(the gradient was placed in a folder on the desktop so I didn’t have to execute an extra 7 clicks to bring it into the “custom” well in the gradient wipe transition well). Whew!

Am I developing a new editing style by thinking that I should be able to save custom transitions along with their files?

If I media manage a Premiere Pro project, will the graphics come with it?

    Does not work on Mac.
Sadly the gradient wipe transition will not open an aliased folder. All I see is a grayed out folder.
