I’ve posted numerous times about why it was a pain to go back to Premiere after a long stint in FCPX.
My job expects me to jump from all three NLEs time to time so I have some experience in all the “bugs”.
Sure the one bug that I hate from FCPX is the “all of a sudden projects slow down”.
That goes away after awhile.
My biggest peeve with Premiere is the “I cant find the files since you moved the entire project into a different volume”.
Now explain to me why that loses the path so easily when the project is still intact within the parent folder.
This may seem trivial to some but when working with other editors/directors, they look at this as my issue when I tell them Im missing files all the time.
One bug which only relates to me for some reason is this full feature I’m grading and facilitating (Pro Tools, sfx and finishing).
On a specific nMP audio from the proxies went missing but still intact on the clients workstation.
This went on for months me accusing the client that he’s removing files here and there.
In the end it was all my fault due the nMP and Premiere.
Opened the the project on a cMP and it was fine.
Then I tested the same project on numerous nMPs and they were fine.
Just that specific tube and Premiere install.
Couldnt fix it with an update to 2015 so I had to do a complete reformat of the system and start again.
Never had to that with FCPX.

Cant stop people from making their own stupid take on the whole FCPX thing.
I can honestly only talk about FCPX to people that know how to use it.
Any time some one near me makes a comment first thing I ask is if they know how to use it.
There is a difference between knowing and tinkering.

When Im in Avid or Premiere, I still see why I need to use tracks.
Not that it a must, its just while its available I just plain use it.
Bur in FCPX it doesnt exist and for some reason my brain doest care.
No muscle memory of wanting to place things above and below.
Mind you I edited the last project with a linear mindset since Ive shot and played it in my head for weeks before first cut.
I did go back and forth in non-linear style due to CG and late shot dates. but it was still amazing as how fast I am without the tracks crutch.

Thats a tough one.
Unless you want to bring legal in then it will all be just sour grapes at this point.
Some artists like to give themselves the full credit even at the songwriting and producing stage.
How big is the artists popularity in your area?
Have you tried talking to him/ner?
Are there others involved in the project that can vouch for your work?
Next to posting comments in the YouTube site its really going to be a pissing match unless you go with legal.
Send a hand-written or signed letter with your concerns to him.
Maybe he/she will at least open up…hoping of course.

Sorry if to hijack this post but has anyone run into audio issues using multi-mono channels?
I posted my issues here and so far no one has replied.
Surely Premiere Pro can handle QuickTime clips with multi-mono channels.

I would like to add that for a few months we’ve had these issues with audio in Premiere (using the above method) thinking it was the video clip at fault.
It seems all the previous issues went away as soon as I opened up that project in an old Mac Pro running Mavericks.
Why did I let the editor convince to accept a full feature on this buggy software 😛

Seems to be an issue on my Mac Pro with 10.10.2 (trash can).
The suspect QT file came up empty at first try on a MP 2012 with Mavericks but then after opening it up a new Premiere proj and importing the clip, the original Premiere doc worked fine after a second attempt.
This is so weird.
