Im on CS4. No there are many layers in the comp, as well as many comps in the project, all of which have the problem.

I just noticed youll have to go to the offset Y in the texture tag and set it to about 50% to get it where it was in the reference pic i posted

Yes, with clothBurb, and i figured that is affecting it, im sure its projecting on the “inside” of the geometry .

what do i do if its a cube since technically each face is a front? i had a plane at first but decided i needed a little bit of depth so now its a thin cube, but still need to keep it a primitive.

you can use the write on effect to reveal image…or use paint to paint a black and white comp to use as a matte for the frame, somewhat time consuming either way, if your lookin for a quickie instead of line by line just use a few larger feathered masks or created matte to reveal chunks of the image at a time.

Sorry i figured it out..its weird it seems no matter how much time i spend trying to figure something out it hits me after i post a question on it lol…they are shape layers and i can animate the path transform separately from the layer transform, exactly what i need.

So scratch my last quick work around…it voided my lights in the scene…still lookin for a fix to either still the valueAtTime issue or maintaining my 3d layers attributes with any transform effect on the layer

well i found a work around for now by adding a transform effect and doing the animation there instead but would still like to know what made it all screwy.
