In looking at the video. the tearing follows the path of the white hot spot lights doing the Hollywood back and forth move.

Have you tried bringing down the white level. or adding a filter?

Good morning Jerry, and thank you for the quick reply.

I though it was audio names too, but what I was seeing starting first frame of a clip was Ch1, or Ch2 in a small great box. No names however.

The Adobe elves must have been here last night, because I left everything active on my computer, and this morning the channel number in the box is gone ☺

And here I thought that Avid was the only haunted system around.

    My best,

    Eric

  • I’ve re-programmed a lot of my key strokes as well, but I don’t have any problems. You may want to trash your prefs.

If I have a long clip, i make an edit just before the spot where I want to make a change. Mark a key frame at the start, then go to the place where you want to make a change.

I can’t figure any way other than this procedure. The key frame tool is rustic.

As for edit every second, your keyboard has pre-selected shifts. 5 frames 10 frames etc.

The problem is that if you use the Premiere Pro barn doors effect for example, you can’t add boarders with colors, and change boarder width – then save in presets’

You have to haul around an effects time line, find an effect, then copy and paste that effect.

Premiere Pro should get some real editors in software development.

Pro is way behind on this! Avid had a simple save over 15 years ago. It feels like the software developers have never edited a network or cable show.

WORK AROUND: The only fix I can find is to make a cut 30 frms before and 30 frms after your effect. Highlight the new clips and the edit and make a sub clip.

Then every time you want to use that effect, call up the sub clip, then copy and paste the effect.

    It’s crazy, yes?

It may be easier to use keyboard commands:

1- Add edit (which actually means make a cut, or splice) where your in point and out point is located.
    2- Mark the new clip
    3- Extract

    Never fails.

    Hi Stacy.

Morph cuts doesn’t seem to love up to it’s promise. I’ve tried morph many, many times and I agree that a jump ct looks much better most of the time.

As for the frame analyzing thing, did you do a render sequence ?

    Good luck.

    Hello Adam.

I use Sony cameras and importing is very easy.

After transferring all of your clips to your IMac you can either pre-select by viewing clips using VLC, and importing after that, or import everything and blow it off after viewing.

You can also pre-select by viewing from the media card from your camera first using VLC.

I agree with Brent. On my system I mapped my keyboard setting to G for clear in and out, so I can clear with a single key hit.
