I have the latest version and updates to Premiere Pro.
I uploaded and did a rough edit using the Rolling Edit tool.
Once the editing was approved I went back to the rolling edit points and used the razor tool to cut the excess… everything appeared fine, till I tried to put a transition over the cut point and it would place the transition on only one of the clips, not both. I checked the razor cut point and found that the footage that should have been removed was still there… I tried removing it several times, saved and rebooted the program and still the same.

    Any clues??

    Thanks for the assistance

It may be easier to use keyboard commands:

1- Add edit (which actually means make a cut, or splice) where your in point and out point is located.
    2- Mark the new clip
    3- Extract

    Never fails.

The clip that does no contain the transition probably has no handles.
