I figured this out. I needed to modify the markers into subclips. But now I have another question. Is there a way to get the markers, now turned to subclips, to not automatically list where it’s from? It becomes very cluttered and unnecessary when putting together the lists in Excel.

    Thanks again,
    Eric

Thank you. That is so easy.

I’ve had this problem before (looks good by itself, but artifacts when put over another clip) when I’ve placed LiveType graphics over text built in FCP. I have never been able to figure it out, so I’ve done work arounds by creating everything in LT and dropping the FCP text or vise versa. I would like to have an answer for this, but my guess is I’ll be told to read those links that were provided earlier. I’ll start there.

    David,

I didn’t see that 300G SATA before, that will work perfectly. Thanks for sending that my way. It seems that you really believe in this product and you have a background with them, so I’ll take your word for all this. I didn’t see anything about a special warrenty on this one…I imagine that 5 year warranty is what made that other 250G drive so high in demand.

Thanks for your time and thoughts.

    Thanks David,

I tried to buy it and it was out of stock, so I looked around and saw some reviews and did some asking. During that time I found some differing opinions about the drive, so I wanted to be sure. If you feel that certain then I will take your advice. Any idea how often they restock at newegg?

    thanks,

Let’s throw a party with the After Effects people to mingle with the FCP people and maybe the idea will get across.

    Thanks Graeme,

Can you help me to understand why the final burn to dvd made it look different? I understand that the monitor will lie to me, but now I’m getting two different lies and that makes me think there’s a conspiracy going on.

    Thanks again,

When I viewed the Apple trailers, I had a choice to download three different sizes. The smallest seemed really big and the biggest, the Batman trailer, wouldn’t fit on my 21″ monitor because it was so wide. I don’t know exactly what those size settings would be, but it seems like the smallest setting was around 640X480 which I could watch immediately without interruption being on a widely shared T1 line. There certainly were no 320X240 sizes. I am sitting on the other side of seeing all this in disbelief that this size-quality could have downloaded so quickly. So without getting into actually doing this and testing it, is there anything I need to be aware of other than putting a Download-Quicktime 7 link on my site?

    Thanks,
    Eric

    Thanks Jerry,

I was having to use a camera as a deck in this situation. I have no doubt this was were the problem started.
