for what it;s worth, I had the same problem.
What i did to fix is delete the fist 2 or 3 edits in the DR10 edit timeline, then export the XML,
this cleared up the glitch, and I pasted in the opening shots that were deleted after the fact.Hope this helps.

For sure it’s a balanced cable. I’ve also tested the cable with other equipment.

Could be your gpu card. Try unplugging it, restart, and see if that works. It may have cooling problems.

What I did try to make it work correctly (but not a perfect workflow), I unplugged the Quadra 4000 card, and the clips in Resolve came up fine.
Obviously that doesn’t make for fun and fast correction, but I was able to grade the clips, and render out the sequence.BTW: another 5k Red show came in, and didn’t have those particular problems.

I use MC color. I have reset the preferences every time, too. BM still hasn’t worked out that bug.

Yes, now with the new update, it’s much easier. Try some of the preset examples that are included with 8.1.1. With a layer node set to screen, you can attach to nodes to it, and add some blur to the bottom node.

here is an additional question: Is there a quality difference between something that is sized 50% zoomed in with XML (motion tab) imported with Resolve, and just using the PTZR with Resolve in terms of RED 4k/5k footage?

Problem came back in other reels. 🙁
it appeared to fix itself in some areas. but remain a problem in others. The debug fix didn’t work for me.

Reinstalled the software. Issue vanishes.
