MC Color network problem with Davinchi Resolve
everytime I start DaVinchi Resolve my Euphonix MC Color panel loose network connection.
I have upgraded the firmware om my MC Color to the latest firmware and are running DaVinchi 8.1.
Since the client is connected to a XSAN system i have to use an USB to ethernet adapter for the connection between the MC Color and the Mac Pro since there is no more free PCI slots.
The MC Color is configured with a manual ip address. The ip adress is set to the range that Davinchi shows in the preference menu.
When running Apple Color it all works fine.
When I start DaVinchi the network connection goes from green to red in the apple system preference menu. To get the connection back I have to take out the ethernet adapter ant put it back.
Any suggestions?Geir Ove

Have you tried introducing a simple ethernet switch into your network?

Sometimes I lose connection and I go to the prefs and for the panel I select ‘none’ then apply. It tells me that changes won’t take effect til restart. I don’t restart, I just select the panel again, apply and it works. Annoying but not the worst thing 🙂

I use MC color. I have reset the preferences every time, too. BM still hasn’t worked out that bug.
