Yes Install the Camera Software from Blackmagic’s support page and that will check the firmware. Make sure the camera is plugged in USB when you launch the camera utility.

Move the Projects Folder to the External or the Desktop and then open the project. Save the project at the new location and then see if the settings reset.

Nvidia just released 327.23 and I have not tested that yet. However 320.49 has been fine for months with any of the Geforce cards. Try importing that sequence into AE and see if the Nvidia driver resets with ram Preview.

Where are you creating your project files? If on an external drive, do you have that drive mounted in OSX before you start Adobe?

Normally you don’t see this with Software MPE mode unless there is a driver or video card problem. Are you running any 3rd party plugins in all of your projects? have you reset your workspace in Premiere and then save and exit to clear out the workspace yet? Does AE or Photoshop show the issue?

I have seen where the Multiplexor controller on the bay slows the performance down with controllers that have better performance on others. Likely due to what you reference. Firmware updates for the bays have changed this. Very similar to what I see with USb3 multibays. However the caching policy is at the E-Sata controller level and that is where the largest performance difference is made. I have also seen this with onboard Intel controllers and raid. They often change their caching policy and the raid 0 performance changes because of that. Sonnet just seems to have a much better caching policy than the other controllers.
