The Higher graphics Frequency ahs no bearing on Adobe, Blackmagic, or other editing software performance. There is no GPU acceleration with the Intel GPU. There is also no way a Mobile CPU compares with the Desktop CPU in performance. The 4770 is desktop and has way better performance then Ivy Mobile. Anandtech doesn’t bother to bench Mobile against Desktop CPU because there is not point due to that and it’s not a Apples to Apple test. They are showing the progression of performance of the Desktop CPU’s.
However you can use the Architecture performance difference to relate to a Apples to Apples Mobile CPU’s difference since the architecture doesn’t change from Mobile to Desktop. This means the 3840QM does not and cannot outperform the equivalent 4900MQ. BTW you can reference some nice comparison benchmarks here which is also inline with internal testing though our testing shows 15%+ for mobile. This also includes comparison to desktop CPU’s which shows Mobile is not close to those.

Haswell is showing a 15% or more increase over Ivy Bridge Mobile and and Desktop in both audio and video testing here. Using a unknown benchmarking quantity/link does not change that. If you want to see real benchmarks for CPU that also state a 15% difference in improvement then this is the correct place:

Most are not related to media content creation but the H264 encoding yet the over all performance testing is inline with our media testing here.

Clevo also has a Haswell shell with a discreet GPU opion with Thunderbolt. If you want that option look for a Clevo P370SM shell.

The W530 is an Ivy Bridge Laptop and not the current Haswell series. Haswell mobile CPU’s have far better performance than Ivy. The 2 laptops’ the original poster link are Haswell. The Ivy in no way beats the Haswell models fully configured or not.

Last I checked Colorista does not thread well. Launch task manager and select the performance tab when the Adobe project is up. Then go under options and select always on top. Scrub or play through the timeline and see what the threading looks like. I would be surprised if it threads well.
Either way upgrading your video card would be a very good idea with that system. A 660Ti video card would likely be more than enough but a 680GTX would be overkill and significantly better than what you have now.

Keyframes and input commands are single threaded. That makes the performance considerably different for those. What Xeon CPU’s do you have?

The 680GTX would definitely help your playback performance in Premiere in general. I would definitely make that upgrade. That 3800 is extremely low spec at this point.

Well beyond that I would need to remote in and see what advance settings if any are available for those adapters. You may end up looking at 8Gbit or 10Gbit adapters with lower latency options to get this resolved.

Go to 1 of the Windows systems and then under Master Project settings. Under Playback settings you should see “Use optimized Playback display mode during Playback”. Checkmark that box and see if there is any difference.
