…take a look on the soft & puffy clouds effects in the media generators tab of Vegas …. I once made a very nice effect animating the textures and even combining some of them on different tracks.. nothing replaces the video background, but it can be a fast & nice solution….

…try New Blue Color fixer plus plug-in … nothing easier than that:
just place the dropper on a (supposed) white element of your clip and done… with adjustment that gives excelent results….my 2 cents … good luck

…maybe that’s why DVD architect doesn´t reencode my 30p mpeg2 files and the DVDs are fully compatible…..

… 24p full progressive DVDs are within the DVD std. specs. but NOT 30p… if you shoot 30p (as I do…) you can render to 60i for DVD, or try rendering to 24p with your NLE (not sure about the results, better shoot in 24p if you want progressive DVD)…. I even render progressive 30p and got excellent results for my DVDs, but sorry I’m on PC land (Vegas & DVDarch)….
good luck

any news on Magic Bullet looks – 64bit ?… that’s one of the reasons I keep Vegas 32bit on my desktop….
Kind regards

“There is no different in the end. What gets placed on the DVD is interlaced footage. If you render progressive, then it will get re-rendered so I guess the only difference is quality based on how many times you re-render your footage. If you only want to render once, then use 60i, 50i, or 24p.”
…. DVD arch never re-renders my “progressive” rendered video footage from Vegas… in fact, the prepare time for a interlaced rendered or “progressive” rendered DVD is the same, for the same video…. for some reason (maybe wrong) I’ve been very happy staying all the way “progressive” if I shoot that way…. and all the DVDs I’ve made are 100% playable on every DVD player I’ve found without a problem…. there has to be something between Vegas & DVDarch that makes no difference if you render interlaced or progressive.. could it be ??
thanks…. good luck

… as far as I know…. burned discs are all “regionless” or region 0 if you like… some people are confused by the NTSC or PAL format which are a different thing …. region coding applies to stamped discs only….
correct me please if I’m wrong…..
kind regards

…If I shoot progressive, I keep progressive all my settings and I’ve always have rendered progressive even in DVD arch 29.97 template… and seems to obtain very good results for DVD… is there any difference if you render interlaced or progressive ?? …I’m taking about shooting 1080 or 720 30p for producing SD-DVDs (not 24p)….
kind regards

Craig, Thank you so much… unfortunately and as I said before, the error code number doesn´t stay too long on the display, it was very fast and then the restore media message (which apparently solves the problem…)
Anyway, I will call Sony and try to explain…. could it be a “possible” voltage variation ? (I’m using AB dionic with the adapter)…
Thanks again…
