  • How do I know what region I’m burning?

Posted by Jonathan Salemi on November 30, 2009 at 6:03 am

    Hello all,

I’m submitting my film to festivals and they all want to know if I’m submitting a region 1 or 0 DVD but I don’t know how to find this out. What I do know is that I’m burning my DVD’s on my mac with DVD Studio pro and using DVD -R.

    Thank you.

for stuff like this a quick look at the manual would give you the fastest answer.

You set the region in the disc inspector, Region/Copywrite tab.

By default all the regions are selected (which some people incorrectly refer to as “0” but it is ALL Regions). So if you have not changed these setting you are okay to tell them Region 1.

… as far as I know…. burned discs are all “regionless” or region 0 if you like… some people are confused by the NTSC or PAL format which are a different thing …. region coding applies to stamped discs only….

correct me please if I’m wrong…..

    kind regards
