…yes… in fact, I’ve just made a few tests and it’s very hard to see the difference between the Vegas “natural” uprez and the BCC filter applied first … even with the magic sharp setting …
I guess this filter is more useful going from SD to HD ….
thank you good luck

January 18, 2011 at 1:35 am in reply to: rendering settings in Vegas for 30p video for BD authoring…. if you shoot 30p (like me), just use the Vegas BluRay 1080 60i template …and author with DVD architect…. you’ll get excellent results …

You can work with an HD project-timeline, but for producing DVDs, render settings HAS to be DVD widescreen… as I said, I always choose DVD arch. NTSC widescreen and check for BEST and PROGRESSIVE options on the custom settings (remember I shoot progressive…)….
good luck

… I shoot 30 (or 60) progressive, and I always render to DVD mpeg2 DVD architect NTSC widescreen template with progressive and best quality settings… if you have the time, try 2 pass encoding option…..
very good results on DVD so far….
good luck

…you can prepare an HD project with half screen HD and an SD version from the same video on the other half (SD rendered previously as SD)…. make your render to HD and see the results on an HD monitor ….
hope this helps…
good luck

May 10, 2010 at 11:42 pm in reply to: Screen capture software that gives quality results in Vegas or any NLE neededCamtasia is very good to me…. you can set the resolution and you have the codec once the program is installed…. and you can render your video capture once in vegas to any format you like, including HD….
good luck

..try dropping your progressive render in the 50i template and see if it works … never try this, but 60i works without any DVDarch complaints with 30p rendered files….. at least on DVD ….
good luck

XDCAM EX files from BPAV folders can be readed natively on Vegas 9… no need to transcode to mxf anymore…. very fast and effective …..
good luck

… Vegas 9pro also supports native mp4 files from BPAV folders… no need to transcode to anything… even “splited” clips (coming from two cards) match precisely in the timeline … and you can keep just the original BPAV folders with their corresponding “veg” project file with minimum space on HDD or disk…..
my 2 cents….
