uprez… Vegas or plugin ?
Does anybody have experience with the uprez filter from BCC 7 ?? I’m going to make a 1080 BluRay with 720 and 1080 sources… is it OK to let Vegas make the render (and the uprez) ? .. will it be better to apply uprez filter to the 720 clips first ??
I’m going to make some tests … just want to hear from the experts …

If you are only going from 720 to 1080 you may be OK with just Vegas because it does have a really good scaler but I would still perform some tests because UpRez has Magic Smooth and Magic Sharp settings that can add that little extra clarity to some content. It really depends on the content and how much detail it has to begin with.

…yes… in fact, I’ve just made a few tests and it’s very hard to see the difference between the Vegas “natural” uprez and the BCC filter applied first … even with the magic sharp setting …
I guess this filter is more useful going from SD to HD ….
