I’m linking another thread to this one to show screenshots of my dialogue menus. The FLV option is missing.

I reinstalled Flash once and I will try once more. Any other ideas?

You and I both! I amazed at Apples lack of acknowledgment towards this issue. They think you just have massive storage arrays laying around to transcode this footage to AIC or Apple ProRes. I think they forget that one of the reasons people are going avchd in the first place is because of how efficient it compresses and the lower disk space usage than the competing codecs.

Amazing that they sell 8 core Macs and of all the computers that could properly handle a few of these streams my 2 core pc Laptop can handle it better than their 8 core Mac Pro.

Hopefully, they are reading these forums. They better get moving.

Thanks! I was trying to avoid going to converting to quicktime because this is going straight to Youtube anyways.

I am encoding that now and will upload to Youtube to see how it looks.

I just tried the Clipwrap demo on the *.m2ts files for a Canon HF10 and it does not work.

There is no FLV option in that dropdown menu. I added a 6th picture to the gallery in the link above to show.

Clipwrap wraps *.m2ts files into .mov files. I have not tried this yet.

Thanks for your reply. I just checked my Library/Quicktime folder and I see a FLV.component file listed. When I go to “export/using quicktime conversion” and then click options/settings/compression type I do not see anything listed for flv or flash nor anything under adobe or macromedia.

Any further thoughts?

We have Flash 8 and FCP 6.0.5 and I have installed the Flash Media Encoder. Nowhere in any of the menus for Compressor or Export Using Quicktime Conversion is there a FLV option.

I just reinstalled Flash 8 and still nothing.

Any ideas?
