  • JES Deinterlacer – No sound on output

I took a DVD from a tv station, demuxed it to a mpeg2 stream from Mpeg streamclip, then tossed it into JES deinterlacer.

The resulting file has no sound when I leave “Video output” to “Direct/DV-NTSC”. If I change it to “Apple Intermediate Codec” it comes out with sound but at a huge file size increase.

    Any ideas?

Export the file from MPEG STREAMCLIP as a Quicktime Movie…DV/NTSC. Avoid the JES thing and converting to AIC. AIC is for HD anyway, and doing that to an SD DVD…can’t look good.

Thanks! I was trying to avoid going to converting to quicktime because this is going straight to Youtube anyways.

I am encoding that now and will upload to Youtube to see how it looks.

    Thanks again
