Create a Null layer, and search in the effects panel “Seperate XYZ” and apply it to the null. Now parent the Camera layer to the Null layer and use the X Y Z sliders applied to the Null layer.

if youre willing to shell out a little bit of money for about 3 hours or more of video training, this guy who does the C44D tutorials on lynda.com does a pretty good job on all of the basics and he does a nice job of making it interesting and not bland.

Card wipe is a pretty good effect, adjusting the position and rotation jitter.

    Here’s a link to a good tutorial:

    Also one using fractal noise:

With Particular its that option and you just select random frame-still.

    Not sure with anything else.

  • Thank you for the advice.

I tried selecting all the points and connected it to a plane object that was big enough to encompass all of the points, and while it is moving, it’s heavily distorting the cloth object.

Am I going about something the wrong way here?

    Trapcode Particlar.

You use the turbulence fields and also the motion blur of the particles also. if you go to

    https://www.ayatoweb.com/ae_tips_e/ae51_e.html#

this will show you the basics and you can just go from there adjusting the motion blur of the particles, etc…
