Racing Lines…
Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew of a good way of generating horizontal bars that would randomly race across the screen. You see this effect quite often the intros and backgrounds of news shows. I know the McLaughlin group does this, among others. Obviously, I could individually animate strips of solid layers, but if I’m doing a great number, that might get very complicated.
Also, I’d love to know how to generate horizontal moving vertical bars. Especially the ones like on the PBS show “Now” which sort of squeeze and squish together… very classy design.

Card wipe is a pretty good effect, adjusting the position and rotation jitter.
