    Hi Patrick,

Try this. Go into the Documents > Zaxwerks folder and delete the “ProAnimator FX” folder. Or, instead of deleting the folder, you can move it to your desktop as a backup.

It sounds like one of the swatches you’ve saved may be causing an issue with the program. Once you move or delete the ProAnimator FX folder, it will reset all the presets back to the factory default and you should be able to open your project file.

If you’re still having problems, please let me know.

    Edward

October 4, 2013 at 8:05 pm in reply to: Question about Proanimator 7 plugin for After Effects

    Hi Mark,

We have separated ProAnimator 7 so that the standalone and the After Effects plug-in are separate products. To use the ProAnimator Plug-in, please download the ProAnimator 7 Plug-in, run the installer, and enter your authorization code when applying the plug-in. When running the installer, it will automatically replace ProAnimator 6 with the ProAnimator 7 Plug-in.

October 4, 2013 at 8:03 pm in reply to: Pro Animator FX – Animating a Cylinder Wrap

    Hi Patrick,

The best way to animate a rotation is using the “Spin Y” action. This control is located in the Pose Actions section. Once you select Spin Y, type in 360 for the rotation, then check the Use Common Center checkbox and the text should spin for you.

  • Hi Joshua,

Which version of 3D Invigorator PRO are you currently using? I tried looking for you in our records, but could not find your license. If you are using version 5, be sure you are using version 5.1.0. If you are using version 6, be sure you are using version 6.1.1.

You can also try going into the Invigorator Preferences and turn off the “Use Multithreaded Rendering” setting and see if that helps.

September 12, 2013 at 3:55 pm in reply to: Transferring objects between comps

    Hi Stacy,

This depends on if you are using the Comp Camera. If you are not using the Comp Camera, then it will use the same Invigorator Camera used in the old Comp. If this is the case, you will need to make adjustments to your Invigorator Scene Camera.

In regards to the keyframes, if you duplicate the Comp with the Invigorator layer, then it will contain all the keyframes from the old Invigorator layer. If you are using the Comp Camera, create a new Comp Camera and delete the old Comp Camera, and Invigorator will update the view to use the new Comp Camera.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Stacy,

From your description, it may be easier to export the finished logo and re-import it into the other Compositions. This way, you will not need to edit the logo four different times. You can export the logo by using the Object > Export Models command.

    Hope this helps.

September 5, 2013 at 6:09 pm in reply to: 3D Layer Warp – Book Pages Turning

    Hi Marc,

When working with multiple 3D Warps layers, remember that even though the objects are in the same 3D space, they still react to the After Effects layer hierarchy. This means, if layer A is on top of layer B, the page for layer A will be on top of layer B even if the page for layer B is sitting on top (position wise).

To get the page flip effect to work correctly, the page that is flipping will always need to be the top layer. After it completes the flip, duplicate the layer, and place it below the new page that is flipping. This way, as the new page is flipping, it will show up above the page that had completed the page flip. You will also need to adjust the length of the layers for this to work properly.

It may be tricky to set up the first page flip. However, once you do one, the process will be the same for the rest of the page flips.

    Hope this helps.

August 22, 2013 at 10:18 pm in reply to: Text Substitution File

    Hi Chris,

The text data is actually saved into the project file, which is why it does not update when you make changes to the text file. You Thanks for pointing that out to us. We will look into this and add this as something to change for future versions.

    Best,
    Edward
