Hi Gary,
No problem at all. I’m glad to hear that it’s helping with the presets and making everything move along a lot faster.
As for the preset you may be having problems with, it may be the Frag-Swarm preset. This preset chops up the objects into hundreds of little pieces and may cause slow down when processing all the fragmentation.
If you’re still running into any other problems, please let me know.

Hi Gary,
I wonder if you are running into a conflict with tooltips. I had another user who had a conflict with tool tips and this caused slowdown issues when working with Fragmentation presets. Try going into the ProAnimator Preferences and turning off the Tooltips and see if this helps with the speed of the program.
I’ll also send you an email containing the link to the latest version of the ProAnimator beta. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Hi Rob,
Please try downloading the newer version using the download links below:
3D Invigorator Pro Mac Version Download Link
https://zaxwerks.com/downloads/Invig_AE_5.1.0p_mac.zipAlso, it seems like your presets may have gotten corrupted. To fix this, go into the Documents > Zaxwerks folder and delete the 3D Invigorator PRO folder. This will reset all the presets and you should be able to apply the plug-in without any problems.
If you’re still having any problems, please let me know.

Hi Craig,
I wonder if you are running into any type of conflicts with settings. If you have a chance, try going into the Invigorator Set-Up window and go into the Preferences window. Turn off the settings “Use Multi-threadded Rendering” and also “Show Tooltips”. Does this help with the performance of the software and also the rendering time?

Hi Thomas,
Normally, lines only show up if you are working with a transparent material. If you are working with a non-transparent material, you should not see any of the lines from the fragmentation. From your screen shot, it doesn’t appear that you are using a transparent material. Can you send the project file to me so I can take a look at your setup?
My email address is ed@zaxwerks.com
Thanks!

Hi Rob,
You can cut out a hole in the Gear shape without having to go to Illustrator. To do this, create the Gear, and select the Gear in the Object Drawing window. Then, click the “Convert to Paths” checkbox. Next, create the shape that you want to cut out from the Gear. Use the Cut command. Then, select the Path Selection Tool (located within the Selection Tool) and click the Gear shape. Use the Paste command, and it will place the pasted shape with the Gear. Move the pasted shape to the desired position for the hole.
If you have any questions, please let me know.

Hi Stacy,
I apologize if this message is a little late. I created a setup of what you are trying to do exactly to get a better understanding of what you are running into. I think I see the situation you are running into.
When you export the object from the first Comp, it saves the position of the object in the exported object. This means, when you import the object into the second Comp, the object is not animating correctly since it is not starting in the position of the object in the first Comp. To fix this, go into the Invigorator Set-Up window, and go to the Object Controls panel. In the Info section, click “Reset” for the Position controls. After doing this, your objects should animate correctly.
Hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Best,
Edward
