Just open the BatchRender.cs script in the Vegas/Script Menu folder and make these changes:

Here’s the line you’d need to change:

String regionFilename = String.Format(“{0}[{1}]{2}”,
filename,
regionIndex.ToString(),
renderItem.Extension);

You would change it to something like:

String regionFilename = region.Label + renderItem.Extension;

You are correct that there were three products but Voice Over was one of the tools in the first release of Excalibur. What’s amazing, I took the original Excalibur 1.0, changed “SonicFoundry” to “Sony”, and it RAN in Vegas Pro 10! Don’t guarantee all the tools would work correctly in 10 but it did start and displayed the GUI.

I’m not going to get into a date war but the fact is that Excalibur 3 was released with a tabbed interface in August of 2004 – two months before Ultimate S was first released. So it seems we were both working on a tabbed interface at the same time. I guess great minds think alike! Excalibur 4 combined the other two products into the single interface, and added more tabs, in March of 2005.

I agree that both are valuable scripts and Vegas would not be as easy to use without them. Which is also why I strongly recommend that everyone buy BOTH and use each to their best advantage!

Wow… I just checked and Excalibur is now approaching it’s 8 (eight) year anniversary after being released in May of 2003! It will also do this using it’s “Voice Over” tool which was included in the original Excalibur tool in 2003! So maybe *IT* was the “original” voice over script! 🙂

For scene detection to work, the camcorders CLOCK must be set. Scene detection works by detecting jumps in the date/time code.

This script will move the cursor 25 frames and was written for Vegas Pro 5 but should work in other versions.

For Vegas Pro 10, you may need to change the .Cursor to .Transport.CursorPosition

You should NEVER install a “codec” pack. Good luck getting your system back to normal.

That’s the correct thing to do. Remember Vegas requires a “Video for Windows” codec. It’s possible that you have a “DirectX” codec installed but NOT a “VfW” codec. You need to locate the proper VfW codec and install only that ONE codec.
