The pause is normal and the length of the pause will vary by player.

If you DO NOT want the pause, you must give DVDA a SINGLE file instead of a bunch of smaller files.

They are added to all audio tracks by default but are also turned “off”. They’re just already there in case you need them. If you don’t like them there by default, you can change that too.

You could just use a white generated media, apply a cookie cutter to that. Keyframe it to start with a really small white dot and end up full screen.

Yes. But don’t expect a Vegas 6 project to open in Vegas 5.

Yes it is. But you can’t get it without also buying Vegas 6. However, files coming from Vegas 5 will work just fine in DVDA3.

Word should be sufficient. When creating Graphs, I just think of “numbers” which makes me lean toward Excel. Either should work fine.
