Adorage has MANY good transitions if you’re looking for the 80’s style transitions. Think “Tool Time” and their tool transitions. However, there’s much more to it than that as well.

You’re using the wrong procedure. You export 150 frames via the script. Now in Photoshop, you clean them ALL up as needed (whether it be 1 of them, 10 of them 100 of them or all of them). Once done, in Vegas do a File – Import, pick Media, then pick the FIRST frame and check the box “Image Sequence”. Now you can replace the original 150 frames with this new Image Sequence media.

There ARE some features of flash files that Vegas can’t use. Here’s the basic requirements:

What do you mean by “in the middle of both tracks”? There should be ONE track with the events overlapped on that track.

Render the two separate. Use some other program to combine the two.

There are several options available. Probably the easiest would be to download the demo of Camtasia and use it to capture the powerpoint presentation. Then you can import directly into Vegas.

If you’re getting a “stream could not be determined” then Vegas or DVDA don’t have the proper codec installed to read that file. Just because it’s an “AVI” doesn’t mean it can’t have an unknown codec. Where did you get the AVI file? For example, digital cameras can create “AVI” files but Vegas can’t read them until an MJPEG codec is installed.

Of course there are other possiblities:

1) Blown firewire port on the camera
2) Blown firewire port on the computer
3) bad firewire cable

You need to eliminate all the possible errors. So… connect back to the deck and verify all works. If that does, then that would seem to eliminate the computer/cable problems.

BTW, if you have a deck, why are you capturing from the camera?

Is the camera set to output DV? Or is it set to input? Should just be a matter of plugging it into the computer if it is set to output.

Did you put both clips on the SAME track and simply overlap them?

If they are on different tracks, you’ll have to apply it to both the fade out of the first event AND the fade in of the second event. Just put both clips on the same track and overlap them.
