Yes. Click on the menu, go to the Menu Page Properties on the right, go to the “Background Media” section, and there’s an option for Audio. Set it to your desired audio file.

Select the menu button. Now on the Button Properties to the right, go to the “Media” section. There you have the Thumbnail Properties. Change the “Start Time” to be the time of the frame you wish to use as the thumbnail image.

I wasn’t saying don’t ask questions. I was saying there are other convertors mentioned if you want a larger list to choose from. For example, Rick (one of the forum moderators) uses another model but I forget the name of it. If you do a search, you’ll get a larger list of options than I provided in the previous post.

When you double-click on the media from the menu, you do get media properties for that media on the disc. Under the media properties are several categories. In DVD Architect 4.5, these are: General, Track Media, End Action, Remote Buttons, Color Sets.
So, either double-click the media on the menu OR click on it in the pane to the left of the menu editing area (the Project Overview screen). Then go to the “End Action” section on the right, and then point it to itself.

When you double-click the movie, look at the properties on the right-hand side. The end actions are located there.

Get a converter like the Canopus ADVC series, Pyro ADS, or any of the other ones recommended many times on this forum. They’ll accept input from your VHS/DVD players and output to firewire to the computer.

Open Vegas.
File – Import – DVD Camcorder Disc
Point it to that DVD and it will pull in the video.

Do yourself a favor and get rid of the USB converter and get a firewire converter. You’ll be much better off in the long run. Capturing DV-AVI is much better than capturing MPG.

Personally, I prefer using a Velocity Envelope and changing the speed to 0% (i.e. freeze frame) at that point.

You could do a single 30 minutes and then set the DVD player to loop and stop it after it played through 3 times.
If you wanted to get fancy, you could probably add the clip three times to the DVD and then end-action from one to the next so that it would stop after the third time through.
