Mmm the photo jpeg .mov is still pretty large. Am I doing something wrong?

Anyone find a fix to the Colorista-FCP6 split/corruption problem? I recently upgraded to FCP 6 and whenever I apply Colorista now, it splits/corrupts the image. I’m editing in HDV btw.

So what should my workflow look like?

Do I import all the footage at the same codec or at their native ones? Then do I convert using some program, then begin editing? Sorry I’m new to mixing footage.

Still no luck… when I put the tiff sequence in a new comp and scale it, it still looks stretched. Should I be rendering out from AE as a 1920×1080 TIFF sequence? Or do I scale it afterwards?

Yeah I need to make some web videos and eventually a DVD of the footage. I’ve tried messing around with the pixel aspect ratio in Compressor, yet no luck (I’ve tried default, square, hdv 1080i, etc). I’ll try recomping it into a 1920 comp once it’s done re-rendering. Thanks.

The animation codec file in fcp is fine (1920). However my AE codec file is 1440×1080… maybe it’s the TIFF sequence? I’m rerendering to try and find out, though it’ll take awhile.

Ohh okay. So would an app like Compressor be a better way to go? If so, would I just export my comp from AE to whatever app I want? Any specific settings I have to use?
