Ahh what I meant is there a way to see what the estimated file size will be? Like say I have a 36 min composition and I want to see how big the file size will be before I render it.

I’m trying to render everything only in the pre-comp, but AE ends up pre-rendering the whole thing.

So does this pre-render my composition in chunks/pieces rather than the whole thing at once?

Ok to do #4 do I just make the mask, then right click the source clip and hit track motion?

If so, how do I apply it to the mask layer? Whenever I go to target and try to select the clip, it’s grayed out and I can’t target the mask layer.

Is there a tutorial on here that shows how to do this? Thanks!

How do I fix this on a mac? Holding shift doesn’t work in OSX.
