Rendering out of AE yields stretched image?
I just finished a project via TIFF sequence –> lossless quicktime animation –> compressor. Whenever I try and make a movie out of Compressor with the quicktime file, my image is stretched.
The project was shot on a Canon A1-XH with HDV 1080p24 composition settings in both FCP and AE. Am I supposed to render my TIFF sequence as 1920×1080? Or my quicktime animation? Any specific pixel aspect ratio? If so, Do I lose any quality? Thanks.

The animation codec file in fcp is fine (1920). However my AE codec file is 1440×1080… maybe it’s the TIFF sequence? I’m rerendering to try and find out, though it’ll take awhile.

Yeah I need to make some web videos and eventually a DVD of the footage. I’ve tried messing around with the pixel aspect ratio in Compressor, yet no luck (I’ve tried default, square, hdv 1080i, etc). I’ll try recomping it into a 1920 comp once it’s done re-rendering. Thanks.

Still no luck… when I put the tiff sequence in a new comp and scale it, it still looks stretched. Should I be rendering out from AE as a 1920×1080 TIFF sequence? Or do I scale it afterwards?
