I am capturing Apple ProRes 422 HQ 1080 59.94. I don’t know if I have fixed this but today I wiped the drive clean and reformatted. I trashed preferences in FCP. I did 2×20 min reels transfer with no dropped frames.

My eSata run test was;
Disk read 235 MB/s Disk write 200 MB/s
8 bit HD 1080 Read 59 Write 50
10 bit HD 1080 Read 44 Write 37

Do you think I have solved the problem?

Thanks for your post. I do see that in the specs but how do you switch from A to B? My B channel is dead. BM Tech support says the inputs are different.

I have a JVC GYHD200 for sale if you are interested, only 44 hours. The only reason to sell is that one very good client requested the sony format.

The workflow in great. I have FCP and used a firewire with no trouble.
I also did have a firestore with same results.

Thanks for the respomce. I did exactly what you said but my files now are renamed but all messed up. They are now in a sequence and the name is repeated several times. If I have a .mov extension it gives it a .movv extension. What am I doing wrong?

I have tried all this. I finally got it to play @ 720pDVCpro HD 29.97.
It still does drop some frames. The resoulution is terrible. The image plays on about half the screen not edge to edge.
