    My SYSTEM

    MAC dual G5 2.5 gig. 6.5 gb RAM.
    Apple 23″ display / Samsung 17″ LCD / Panasonic BT-LH2600WP
    Blackmagic Decklink Extreme card v5.2.4
    OSX Tiger w/10..3.9 upgrade
    FCP 6 w/ Studio Suite 2
    1 300gig scratch disc
    2 x 500GB G-Raid Firewire800
    Decks = Beta-SP, DVCpro, DigiBeta.
    Audio Mix = Mackie 1604 VLZpro
    I believe I have the stock display card
    Panasonic AJD-230H DVCpro deck
    JVC GY-HD200U Hi Def Camcorder

    Has anyone used the Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP for a program monitor. How can you HDMI into it? Is this monitor true HD?

    Thanks in advance

    [ED stevens] “Panasonic BT-LH2600WP”

    If you have that, why the Dell?

    Yes, I TRIED to use this monitor but when using the comnponent output from both the Blackmagic card and Multibridge, it will not allow you to get a 60hz refresh rate and therefore the highest resolution. The Dell does not have HDMI inputs, just DVI and component. Your 2 options are: upgrade your video card to dual output and you could monitor that way into the Dell, or get a hi-def CRT television with component inputs. I found a 27″ Samsung with component and HDMI inputs and it looks grreat.

    I bought it a couple of weeks ago. It is true HD (1900X1200) and it has a composite, a Y/C and and RGB video input (kinch). I connected it to my Kona to analog component output and that works OK. Picture quality is good, although I am not sure about it’s quality as a color correction monitor. It certainly is a much cheaper solution then buying an Apple 23 inch display with a Decklink Dual link
