JVC HD 200 Series
We are currently looking into upgrading to HD. We have had great success with the following SD workflow:
JVC GY-DV5000 / Firestore FS-3 / Premiere Pro 2.0
I’m wondering if the HD workflow below would give us the same type of ease:
JVC Pro HD (200 or 250?) camcorders / Firestore unit, / CS3 or Matrox Axio

Yes, with the Firestore, as you know, it’s plug and play. The HD is good and all the controls on the camera are where you’re used to them being. Go for it. I have a JVC250 Body (low hours) available if you’re interested.

The workflow in great. I have FCP and used a firewire with no trouble.
I also did have a firestore with same results.
I also have a JVC GYHD200 for sale if you are interested.ED
