Don’t have an unnest option in CS6 for multicam edits…
Tried sending a sequence to Audition as well, but only 1 track of audio is sent over.

I hope Premiere CC works better with multicam edits and multitrack audio.

    Thanks.

Thanks for that, about CS6 and VOB files.

I imagine the DVD still needs to be in the dvd drive to edit. Or does CS6 put the files somewhere on the hard drive when the vob is imported?
Content on the dvd’s still need to be accessed, sometimes weeks later. So capturing to the hard drive was a viable solutions…

    Thank you!

I had tried a track matte but it wasn’t working.
When you suggested track matte, I tried again and found I couldn’t see the contents inside the shape layer because the gradient fill was low. Raised gradient fill to 100% and it worked great. 🙂

Auto trace is also a good solution. Of course there is much more control with the shape layer and track matte.

Thanks Michael. That link was helpful.
I had not noticed the brush duration option. It was on Constant, and I need Single frame. 🙂

    Thanks Dave.
I’ll look into that, seems to be more precise.

Just want to saturate the green more, which is now the new colour of the shirt. Then I’d like to desaturate the skin tone of the actor.
(Nothing to do with keying, just want a more vibrant green on the shirt)

I applied vibrance to the image after the other color correction adjustments I made, which has helped a little with boosting the green, but it also boosts the actor’s skin tones. So again, I’ve used filters to bring down just her skin tones.
Just wondering what other ways I could this.

Duplicating layers and playing with blend modes and color correction was another option. To bring up the green in the shirt.

    Hope this makes sense.

    Thanks.

May 15, 2011 at 4:19 am in reply to: Can’t add a transition

Is this the only option? (ripple -15 frames +15 frames)
I have a After effects clip and I can’t add a transition to it in FCP. If I ripple the clips, the audio is overlapped and ruined. These clips take at least 30min each to render from AE…

Does that really mean I need to re-export my After effects clips?
Why does FCP do this? Why can’t it use the clips with the current handles?
I can add cross dissolves in Premiere pro with no issue…

    Other options in FCP?

    Thanks.

    I’ll try a tiff sequence.
As the R3D file is black and white, and I’m not sure how to convert it back to colour. Originally I was aiming to take the R3D file directly into AECS5, until it showed up as black and white in AECS5.

May 12, 2011 at 5:02 pm in reply to: key light grainy key..?

    can anyone elaborate on this?

“Fool with the lower layer’s Keylight settings until it looks like the subject looks fine, but is over a grayish, washed-out chroma key background. It’ll take some doing, but you will have gotten it to the point where Keylight’s spill suppressor is working. That’s good, because the Keylight spill suppressor works darned well.”

    Thanks.
