Can’t add a transition
Posted by Paul Lethaby on April 14, 2009 at 11:33 amI have some clips on the timeline (same track). Why can I add a transition (dissolve) between some clips and not between others?

I have a After effects clip and I can’t add a transition to it in FCP. If I ripple the clips, the audio is overlapped and ruined. These clips take at least 30min each to render from AE…Does that really mean I need to re-export my After effects clips?
Why does FCP do this? Why can’t it use the clips with the current handles?
I can add cross dissolves in Premiere pro with no issue…Other options in FCP?
Thanks.
