Can I create adjustment layers in AE that work like photoshop layers when I use the brush/eraser/clone tool to mask out parts of my image?

I used the clone stamp and eraser tool in AE CS5 thinking it would only affect that 1 frame. But, my adjustments were applied to the whole clip. I would like to apply the brush/erase/clone tool on each frame without having to use a png/tiff sequence of my clip.
Can I change the brush tool from black to white (in AE) to mask or undo areas of a mask?

You can adjust the duration of your brush strokes. Read up on it here [link] and on related pages.

Thanks Michael. That link was helpful.
I had not noticed the brush duration option. It was on Constant, and I need Single frame. 🙂
