  • Multicam and multitrack audio OMF export nightmare

Been looking around, but haven’t really found a solution.

I need to export audio from a nested multicam edit(Premiere CS6).
The nested track contains 3 separate audio tracks (Boom, Actor A, Actor B)
How can I export ALL 3 audio tracks from the nested multicam sequence as separate audio tracks? All 3 audio tracks are needed.
The test OMF exports only contain the first audio track, the other 2 audio tracks are not exporting.
Would Premiere CC be able to handle this, or is there a different method?

    Thanks

This isn’t my area of expertise, but I would imagine that you would need to export the non-nested sequence for the OMF to work. One other thing you can do is export the sequence to Audition and create the OMF or AAF from there. Sometimes that will help improve your results.

Don’t have an unnest option in CS6 for multicam edits…
Tried sending a sequence to Audition as well, but only 1 track of audio is sent over.

I hope Premiere CC works better with multicam edits and multitrack audio.

    Thanks.

I meant for you to look at the ‘source sequence’ where all of the video and audio layers reside. You might have better success looking there.

Premiere Pro CC does in fact have some improvements for Multicamera.
