In Mac Preferences, in Energy Saver:
If you have an “Automatic Graphics Switching” selection, make sure it is NOT checked.
If you have Graphics selections for “Better Battery Life” and “Higher Performance” make sure “Higher Performance” is selected.

What you describe does not sound like expected performance. Your comment about 1x PCI lane width is probably why. The PCIe Lane Width should definitely show x16 for that card in slot 2. Maybe a defective card? The other thing to check is that you do not accidentally have your GUI display connected to the Q4000 card. That would seriously limit performance.

You can render out to any format you see in the Output Type drop down menu on the Render page. DNxHD MXF support is standard in Resolve 8.1.1 and higher.
Yes, you can use mixed media types in the timeline.

Resolve support of the new FCPX 10.0.3 XML format will require an updated version of Resolve. We hope to have that available soon.

While the panels in the Ebay link are indeed serial connected panels which will not work with Resolve as Rob mentions, network connected style panels were also used with 8:8:8 DUI systems, and those panels would work with a Linux Resolve, as both the DUI and 2K network style panels are electrically identical, and only have different key-caps and labeling.

Recommended cards are in the Windows Resolve Config guide. Quadro 4000, 5000 and 6000, along with GTX-580 are currently in the guide.

AMD/ATI cards (i.e. openCL) is not supported at all on the Windows platform. You MUST have an Nvidia card that supports CUDA.

That warning message is telling you that you have no CUDA support, so what you see is expected.
What type of Mac system do you have, and what type of GPU is in it?

If your system is not recognizing a supported GPU, it would crash as soon as your touch a media file in the browser. This might be what you are experiencing. When you launch Resolve, or when you log in, are you getting any GPU warning or error messages?

Resolve Lite does not support remote grading.
Regarding resolution being the same at both ends, that is referring to the timeline resolution.
