  • FCP X 10.0.3 XML import broken?

Posted by David Battistella on February 2, 2012 at 4:32 pm

    Since installing 10.7.3 OSX LION
    Beta 8.2 Resolve lite
    FCPX 10.0.3

It seems that XML import is broken.

NO matter what sequences I send, I get a dialog box saying that it is V1.1 of the XML and then when I hit ok, I get a dialog box that says the XML does not contain a sequence.

    Any help appreciated.

    David

If I recall correctly, the dialog says it’s XML 1.1 and that some things might not work.

As far as I know, FCPXML 1.1 is new as of January 31 – DaVinci haven’t had any updates after that. In other words; I don’t find that weird at all.

Resolve support of the new FCPX 10.0.3 XML format will require an updated version of Resolve. We hope to have that available soon.

Amazing and thanks for the quick response.

    It’s really an elegant workflow.

    Thanks,

For now you can open the fcpxml file In text edit and simply change the text from 1.1 to 1.0 and it will import fine.

It’s fixed in the latest beta!

    Thanks BMD Davinci team…
