the file is a quicktime .mov — I figured out the problem tho. I found that, in the button layer set of my menu, there was a text layer that had its eyeball on. Apparently encore doesnt like this. I went to “edit in photoshop” and opened up the button layer set and saw both the highlight (=1) and a text layer under it. I poked out the eyeball of the text layer and now my background moves. ***Pheewww…I’m glad I figured it out because it was driving me crazy. I was about to throw my computer against a wall.

I am right-clicking the menu in the menu editor to select “edit in photoshop”, and after I edit the menu, i save it and jump back into encore. I do not close the menu. When I edit the menu in photoshop twice, i dont have to close the menu and reopen it, i can actually jump back into encore and watch it change right in front of me, but it never does it the first time!

doesn’t that do a dv compression when doing an analog to digital conversion. I was hoping to hear of a way where i could take the native mpeg from the disc, without losing any more than it already has, and convert it into something avid would accept
