Unable to get Xpress Pro w/ mojo to recognize my mini dv camera for digitizing footage.
I have Xpress Pro v. 4.5.1 with a mojo. My camcorder is a Panasonic PV-DV953D. The camera is plugged into the mojo via the 4-pin “DV” input. No matter what I do, whether start AVID with the camera plugged in or not, or with a tape or not, or on or not, in any combination, I’m unable to get avid to recognize it is plugged in so I can digitize. Within the cameras menu itself under the in/out section, DV OUT is enabled. My avid deck configurations are set to a firewire port on the avid DNA, set to the PV-DV953D as the deck (which is natively a deck from the list, I didn’t add it) Yet, I have still yet to succeed in it recognizing that it is plugged in…

Which video input are you set to? On a Mojo system you have the choice of composite, component, s-video, and OHCI. You want the last one — that’s the firewire port.

it is set to dv (which is the last option)
