If you have Premiere Pro, why don’t you create your proxies in Media Encoder? Just curious.

EDIT: Are you sure you meant 5,000 and not 50,000 bits? That seems like quite a dropoff from the “Best” setting of 80,000. Anyway I rendered at 50,000 bits and it played. Of course I had to choose a clip with no sound so I got the unsupported format error. Rendering another clip with sound at 50,000 bits. Fingers crossed.
EDIT2: Yes! Video played flawlessly with no perceivable loss in quality at 50,000 bits. Thanks, Jeff!

According to the Samsung manual the tv supports just about every codec and container, and it specifically listed MP4/h264 with HE-AAC audio. I don’t know about you but I’m really getting sick and tired of all these proprietary formats!!!
Anyway, I tried another clip I had that does have audio. It plays the audio for the few seconds that the clip plays before bogging down. Also, (and I know that this was not true at one point) but I actually used an mp3 clip in my video and was able to output audio in Resolve.
I am going to try playing an unaltered straight out of camera .mov clip later and see if maybe something I’m doing in Resolve is the culprit.

As usual I found the answer right after I posted but forgot to come back here. Copy “C” the node you want to copy the attributes from, and paste “V” into the new node. But thanks for answering, Tero.

I did! (Surprised? ???? ) The tv supports mp4, h264. It also says something about 3GP as the container but I see no such choice in Resolve.

I haven’t had any problems, it works just as badly as it did before 2.0, however, I haven’t heard of lens firmware update 1.3 so I still have 1.0. Maybe that’s where the problem lies. Also, there is a version 2.1 now. Maybe give that a shot.

AHA! Found the problem. Posting it here for the benefit of others who are as dumb as I am. I was using proxy files that I had generated in Media Encoder, which have a different aspect ratio. At the time I didn’t know that Resolve also had the ability to generate proxies so I imported already created proxy files generated when I was using Premiere Pro.
