So which is it? Stabilize or not? Anyway a lot of the advice here helped. I like where it was pointed out that tracking is never perfect “except in tutorials”. That was what was killing me. Now that I know these things I don’t mind manually tweaking bad tracking. btw, I’m 63. I know what life is like. I’m used to it.

Thanks, Glen. I always do. Again, I’m just a hobbyist, I don’t have clients waiting on me, and my videos are usually no more than 4 or 5 minutes long. Easy to check for glitches and stuff. Cheers!

I actually created a VBScript that clears my RAM cache without having to reboot. Just right click and “open in command prompt”. Happens instantly and it frees up all my RAM. I then do my render which so far has gone off without a problem, even when tested with heavy tweaks. And I do mean heavy.

Isn’t 48mbps a LOT more than 80,000 bits? Also, will a DNxHD/R file play nice off a USB drive on a 4K tv? I’ll probably try it out for myself before you respond, but…
