  • Want to access the Undo History. Read the manual. Here’s the problem…

Hey Tero, I did what you always say, I read the manual. Did a search for how to access the history of changes, like you can in Premiere Pro or Photoshop. This is what it says:
To undo and redo using the Undo List:
    1. Choose edit>undo list
    2. When the History dialog appears, click an item on the list to undo back to that point.

Now, here is my conundrum. There is NO “undo list” under “Edit”. Only Undo, Redo, and Undo History which is grayed out. I’m sure you’re going to tell me how to ungray History (Yeah, you can only access it in “Edit”, I want this feature in the color page), but the fact remains that the manual tells me to click something that doesn’t exist. This is the pdf manual that came with v. 14 so it’s not like I’m looking at an outdated manual.

    Redeem thyself, Ahlfors!

Short answer: There’s no undo history for the color page because,

Long answer: Page 691 in the Resolve 14 manual (September 2017).

You know, you really should learn how to do these things yourself rather than depend on the manual to bail you out! 😉

Straight up: I didn’t know why and was not expecting to actually get an answer for that… But there it was.

And just when I thought nodes were confusing 😉

I’m assuming your answer is because each node has its own set of undo commands?
