Export project as AAF from Vegas, import AAF in AVID.

The free DXMAN tool from Analogx.com gives you some nice diagnostic tools to help find the culprit plug-in.

    Terje-

There must be a reason you chose to render to a frame size of 736×416. Could you explain what that is? A specific device perhaps? File had to fit in a pre-designed web page? Other?

Also, what is the Nero encode’s frame size and bitrate? Is it the same as what you told Vegas to render with MC/AVC? How about the profile, framerate, field order… are those also the identical, or very close?

Could you post all of the encode settings you are using for your Vegas/MCAVC and Nero renders? Frame size, frame rate, bitrate etc?

    thanks

A full-resolution MXF reader for standard def XDCAM was included with Vegas 6.0c.

HD XDCAM is not currently supported in Vegas.

Vegas 6 (current version is 6.0c) can generate an AAF file that any modern AVID can read. Save out both flavors of AAF that Vegas presents in the Save As dialog to be safe- (“Legacy” AAF ensure better compatibility with older AVIDs, “Edit Protocol” is for the more recent versions).

If you want to get work done, Vegas 6.0c and the Sony-qualified 4.8.1 driver is an extremely stable combination, cost effective too. If you are doing Digibeta or HDCAM 50i/60i work this is definitely worth a look, all supported features work in the Vegas trial version, NO known crashes on a reliable system (like a Boxx).

    ps: I manage the product

Your aggregate bitrate is too high. Try re-rendering the video with the stock template.
