I highly recommend Gary’s videos! I have the Vegas 5 Companion and DVD Authoring with DVD Architect 2.0 training DVDs. I watch and refer to them often. It is the best investment I’ve made since buying Vegas!

I use a Canon GL1, and a GL2 and a Sony VX2100. My favorite is the Sony. If only the VX2100 had a 20X zoom, like the Canons, it would be perfect.

Thanks VERY much, Don for the info. Don’t want to be nosey, but what did you charge the guy to do the video to DVD project? Just curious. If you are not wanting to share the amount, I completely understand.

I’ve also done a “pass-through” from DVD player through my Sony VX2100 to the computer. Then if any editing is needed, it can be done and then print to DV tape. Seems to work for me.

    Great……I’m still learning Vegas 5. 🙂

Thanks Gary for the reply. I figured that was the case, but wanted to make sure. By the way, just wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed your DVD training on Vegas 5 and DVDA2. These training DVDs have been VERY helpful. Best investment I have made, aside from buying Vegas in the first place. If and when I buy Vegas 6, or more than likely Vegas 7, I’ll be ordering your training DVDs. Thanks again.

OK, so I’m convinced NOT to get Norton 2006. The Norton 2005 has run out on one of my computers and the other expires in May. Give me some advice as to the best way to rid my computers of all of Norton and install either AVAST or AVG. I’ve not had any problems with Norton 2005, but maybe I’m pressing my luck.

Thanks Edward for the reply. I was not sure if one method gave better results than the other. Seems like rendering straight to an avi would save time and present less chance of problems. Thanks again.

Just curious, is it OK to have Vegas5 running on one computer and DVDA2 on another, at the same time?
