I don’t have access to anything other than a DVD of a program and must create a DV tape version. It seems I have two options: 1. put the mpg2 file on the vegas timeline and re-render as .avi then print to tape, or 2. play it on a LCD monitor and shoot it to tape with a camera.

Anyone thoughts or other suggestions appreciated.

    thanks,

Play it from a set-top dvd player to the inputs of a miniDV camcorder (if your dv camcorder can record from analog source)

    Just as George says-
Everyone seems to forget the simplest way to copy – from machine to machine.

I’ve also done a “pass-through” from DVD player through my Sony VX2100 to the computer. Then if any editing is needed, it can be done and then print to DV tape. Seems to work for me.
