pan/crop will only mess you up. Do it all in the PTT tool.

With the ProType Titler, this is easy. Autosmoothing between keyframes will keep the jerkiness to a minimum.

No new drivers AFAIK. I’m not running a 64 box, but as far as I know, they’re currently not supporting 64.

Both versions accept PSD files, but require changes to the naming conventions of the PixelPops files. I wish it were different, but that’s just the “way it is.” :-/

Vegas optimizes itself for the editing process. Usually, editing is performed in one format, but output may be several formats. Therefore, you optimize the app for the editing process.

one method is to create an end action for each segment, which in turn goes to the next segment.

The AJA Xena is rock-solid in Vegas 8.
There are beta drivers for Black Magic Designs Decklink and Intensity on the BMD site.

Render to new track. That will “freeze” the two clips together, and you won’t suffer any loss of quality if you don’t have filters applied to the clips/events.
